Congratulations to Shahar Shenhar, your 2013 Magic World Champion!
Shahar Shenhar became the first Magic World Champion not yet born when Magic was first released! The 19-year-old used U/W/R Control in Modern, and that helped him defeat the 23-year-old Reid Duke's G/W Auras deck in the finals. The young guns defeated the formitable opposition of Hall-of-Fame-elect Ben Stark and reigning Player of the Year Josh Utter-Leyton in the semifinals to meet in the finals, where Shenha became the second Israeli to become Magic's World Champion (Uri Peleg, 2007).
This finish means that Shahar Shenhar goes into the 2013-2014 season in the lead in Pro Points, with Reid Duke hot on his tail. To see full event coverage of the #MTGChamps, see the coverage page.
