Vive la France!
Congratulations to the French team of Hall-of-Famer and Team Captain Raphaël Lévy, Yann Guthmann, Timothée Simonot, and Stephane Soubrier for their victory in the World Magic Cup 2013 this past weekend. Down 0-1 in matches to Hungary in the finals the French team tied it all up at 1-1. Timothée Simonot was down 0-1 in games in the deciding match when a topdecked Kessig Wolf Run stole game two... and then Rakdos's Return off the top stole game three for the title!
It was an exciting finish to a fabulous weekend that saw seven European countries make the top 8 and excitement all around for the event. Amsterdam, The Netherlands, played a great host for the #MTGWMC, and next year's affair in Nice, France, on the World Champions' home turf will be sure to impress as well! Congrats France!
