Each Star City Games Invitational is held at an SCG CON weekend which also includes several special events, tons of side events, vendors and special guests, so even players without an Invitational qualification can join in the fun.

Tournament Structure
Each Invitational features two formats, Pioneer and Modern, with four Swiss rounds of each the first two days. On Sunday, the Top 8 players battle it out in best-of-five elimination matches (where the first two games are unsideboarded) for the title of Invitational champion!
How to Qualify
Want your chance at a $20,000 top prize and your likeness on a future token? Get qualified for an Invitational! Here's how:
- Finish in the Top 16 of a Star City Games Invitational
- Finish in the Top 8 of a Star City Games Open
- Finish in the Top 8 of a Star City Games Regional Championships
- Finish in the Top 4 of a Star City Games Team Open
- Finish in the Top 4 of a Star City Games Classic
- Finish in the Top 2 of a Star City Games Invitational Qualifier
- Earn at least 15 SCG Points in the current Player of the Year race.
