Major tournaments took a break this past weekend for the Journey into Nyx prerelease, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t plenty of Magic news.
Wizards of the Coast confirmed what players across the country were posting to social media websites this weekend; god packs are for real. These Journey into Nyx booster packs contain one of each god from the Theros block and will continue to pop up following the prerelease. Photos of the god packs were all over Facebook and Twitter showing players cracking a pack of Journey into Nyx to reveal 15 gods and a token.
WotC also posted an update to the banned and restricted list, this time opting not to change up any format. The previous update shook up Modern by banning Deathrite Shaman and unbanning Wild Nacatl and Bitterblossom.

To top off the weekend, a new art Wrath of God to be included in the From the Vault: Annihilation was revealed at Nico Nico Douga Choukaigi 3 convention outside of Tokyo this weekend. The new card frame is displayed along with art depicting Heliod.
