The StarCityGames.com Open Series traveled to Milwaukee to crown two champions and give out $20,000 in prize money. The Standard Open saw a surprise Top 8 deck, Mono-Green Aggro piloted by Mason Lange. The finals, however, came down to Kevin Huang's Mono-Black Devotion and Adrian Sullivan's U/W Control, with Kevin emerging victorious.
The Legacy Open also saw innovation with Eric Rill piloting a four-color Delver deck featuring Young Pyromancer. Eric's deck, also known as "Spy Kids," took him to a finals match against Wayne Tam's Sneak and Show. Eric won in three games to claim his fourth title and twenty Open Series points, which will send him rocketing up the Players' Championship leaderboard.
