Sheets piloted Mono-Black Devotion in the Standard rounds and brought Deathblade to the Legacy Top 8, defeating Jessy Hefner in a thrilling finals that went the full five games. With the win Sheets secured a place in the StarCityGames.com Players' Championship, as did Brian Braun-Duin, the Season One points leader.

In the Standard Open at Charlotte, Travis Harrison took home the trophy with U/w Devotion, finishing with a victory over Jacob Neighbors and B/W Midrange. Noted Open Series grinder Michael Majors won the Legacy Open with U/W/R Delver. He took down a pair of brothers in the Top 8 along the way, besting Michael Braverman in the quarterfinals and Phillip Braverman in the semifinals.
