An air traffic controller strike, scheduled to start October 10, may delay the start of Pro Tour Theros. The Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) air traffic controllers voted to go on strike last month over job security issues.
Should the strike proceed as it is currently planned, all flights into and out of the country will be shut down or delayed starting on October 10, which is the Thursday right before the Pro Tour in Dublin on October 11-13.
Wizards of the Coast will announce at the Pro Tour on Thursday if the event will be delayed. The Magic: The Gathering Pro Tour has not been delayed since 2007, when a flood delayed the start of Pro Tour Valencia.
