Over the weekend there were three big winners: Rudy Briksza, Brian Hood, and Josh McClain!
At the Open Series in Atlanta on Saturday, green-based aggro decks ruled the day, with Rudy Briksza's Naya Aggro emerging victorious over Joseph Greer's G/R Aggro in the finals. A surprising three U/W/R Flash decks made the top 8 as well, alongside favorites new and old The Rock an Junk Reanimator. And zero copies of format boogeyman Jund!
In the Legacy portion, Brian Hood's Omni-Tell defeated Chi Hoi Yim's Shardless BUG in a meeting of two of the format's top contenders. In a testament to the variety of the format, eleven different decks finished in the top eleven spots... and of those, four different Delver of Secrets color combinations placed that highly.

Meanwhile at Grand Prix Detroit, it was a GP Miami finals rematch between Josh McClain and Reid Duke. Josh exacted his revenge on the recent Community Cup member, winning with Melira Pod at the Modern event. Some staggering numbers from this star-studded top: 27 total Deathrite Shamans out of a possible 32); six Jund variants in the top 8; and another top finish not just for Duke and McClain, but also for perennial all-stars Ben Stark, Alex Majlaton, and Willy Edel.
