Standard, Standard, and hey... more Standard this past weekend!
#SCGDAL Kicked things off Saturday with Standard Open, Part I, and the winner was Ken-Min Yeoh on the back of AEtherling, Assemble the Legion, and the rest of the U/W/R Flash supporting cast. Up against the wall from the get-go as the tournament's 8-seed, Ken-Min was able to dispatch three green aggro decks (two R/G and G/W) on his way to the title. Congrats, Ken Min!
Then on Sunday, it was Aaron Barich's turn with Naya Aggro to take the prize. Utilizing the power of some of Standard's best heavy hitters like Dryad Militant, Ghor-Clan Rampager, Voice of Resurgence, Boros Reckoner, and Advent of the Wurm together, Aaron put together the win after a top 8 on Saturday. Congrats Aaron!

Let us now turn our attention to the Grand Prix circuit and go down Mexico way for #GPGuad, where the winner was Mexico City local Andres Martinez and his Junk Reanimator deck!
The sombrero'd one (check out that winner photo!) preyed on the control decks with a BBD-style Reanimator list focusing on Restoration Angel's ability to reuse Sin Collectors and Acidic Slimes, backed up by Thragtusk and Angel of Serenity, to win the big prize. He defeated Platinum level pro Willy Edel in the finals, showing that the EdelGenius isn't done yet by starting off this new season with a high finish. Congrats!
