Christopher Barone

Age: 24

Hometown:
Cranston, RI

Archetype:
Mono-Black Aggro and Humans

Is there anything you would change about the Pioneer format?
Looks good.

Why did you choose to go with the decks you played?
I have fun playing them.

Adam Fronsee

Age: 36

Hometown:
Brunswick, OH

Archetype:
Mono-Green Devotion and Tron

Is there anything you would change about the Pioneer format?
Nexus of Fate or Wilderness Reclamation

Why did you choose to go with the decks you played?
Devotion has been strong, survived two bans. I like big mana decks.

Dan Salvatore

Age: 24

Hometown:
West Hartford, CT

Archetype:
Mono-Green Devotion and Grixis Death's Shadow

Is there anything you would change about the Pioneer format?
Mono-G is too good. Also dig is a busted magic card.

Why did you choose to go with the decks you played?
They are the best decks in each format.

Kevin Hoang

Age: 22

Hometown:
Huntington, WV

Archetype:
Hardened Scales and Eldrazi Tron

Is there anything you would change about the Pioneer format?
Unban cat.

Why did you choose to go with the decks you played?
Scales was really aggressive and Eldrazi Tron is best deck.

Sam Berkenbile

Age: 28

Hometown:
Dallas, TX

Archetype:
Gruul Aggro and Amulet Titan

Is there anything you would change about the Pioneer format?
Llanowar, Mystic, and Once Upon A Time are clearly best cards. Their time is limited.

Why did you choose to go with the decks you played?
Gruul seemed consistent and I feel my usual Modern deck would struggle against the new meta.

Stephen Dykman

Age: 25

Hometown:
Grand Rapids, MI

Archetype:
Golgari Delirium and Simic Urza

Is there anything you would change about the Pioneer format?
Not sure, once upon a time is probably too good.

Why did you choose to go with the decks you played?
Pioneer is fun and Urza is broken.

Noah Walker

Age: 23

Hometown:
Amherst, MA

Archetype:
Izzet Ensoul and Grixis Death's Shadow

Is there anything you would change about the Pioneer format?
Once Upon A Time probably shouldn't exist in any format.

Why did you choose to go with the decks you played?
I watched Edgar play Pioneer leagues and couldn't find Urza cards for Modern.

Dylan Huckabone

Age: 26

Hometown:
Jacksonville, NC

Archetype:
Bant Ramp and Crabvine

Is there anything you would change about the Pioneer format?
Not really.

Why did you choose to go with the decks you played?
Field of the Dead is a busted card. Crabvine is explosive and everyone is cutting on graveyard hate.
