Day 2 Metagame Breakdown
All players with 18 points made Day 2, meaning 127 players would return to battle for a shot at the Top 8 of the Legacy Open at #SCGNY. It’s been a few years, but Temur Delver is back on top of the metagame in Legacy. With the addition of Wrenn+and+Six, Temur Delver takes the top spot with 21 pilots. Four-Color Control decks, often leaning on Arcum’s Astrolabe, come up next with 13 players.
Jeskai Mentor and Golgari Depths follow at seven copies each, wit the Jeskai Mentor being one of the newest builds utilizing Astrolabe. Izzet Delver is up next with six pilot opting to ditch Wrenn+and+Six for more copies of Dreadhorde+Arcanist and a more streamlined approach to aggression. Selesnya Depths, a new look at the classic Dark+Depths + Thespian’s Stage combo, shows up with five players. Other decks at five copies: Sneak and Show, Storm, Dimir Death’s Shadow, and Azorius Stoneblade.
