Day 2 Metagame Breakdown
All teams with 19 points or more made Day 2, meaning 25 teams would return to battle for a shot at the Top 8 of the Team Open at #SCGPHILLY. Standard moved quite a bit after last weekend where Simic Nexus and Simic Flash led the field, as Jund Dinosaurs and Esper Hero share the top spot at four copies each. Orzhov Vampires, Bant Scapeshift, and Simic Nexus follow at three pilots each.
While Modern changed with the banning of Bridge from Below, Izzet Phoenix remains the top deck, sharing the No. 1 spot with Mono-Red Phoenix at four copies each. Usual suspects round out the field with multiple copies, including Humans, Dredge, Eldrazi Tron, Amulet Titan, and Azorius Control.
Legacy gets the biggest shakeup as the first large event with Wrenn+and+Six showcases the powerful two-mana Planeswalker. Seven of the 25 decks on Day 2 played the Planeswalker from Modern Horizons, as Izzet Delver led with six pilots.
