Day 2 Metagame Breakdown
All teams with 21 points or more made Day 2, meaning 27 teams would return to battle for a shot at the Top 8 of the Team Open at #SCGCIN. Standard has evened out, with only three decks showing up on Day 2 with a single player, and the most-played deck only taking five of the 27 slots. Sultai Midrange leads the way with five copies, followed by Esper Control at four, and Azorius Aggro at three.
Izzet Phoenix is still the top deck in Modern, taking eight of the 27 middle seats on Day 2. After Phoenix, Amulet Titan had three copies, leaving a majority of the field as two-ofs and one-ofs.
As for Legacy, Izzet Delver has replaced Grixis Delver as the most popular deck after its performance in Syracuse a few weeks ago. Death and Taxes comes up second, with four copies, before the rest of the field levels off.
