I'm reliably informed it has no bad matchups.

Izzet Phoenix was the most played deck in day 2. Is it the best deck in Modern right now? Why?
See Above (But Ironworks is the best deck. At least until the next ban list update)

Archetype:
Izzet Phoenix

Why did you play the deck you played this weekend?
It was a toss up between Amulet & Izzet Phoenix. I chose the better deck.

Izzet Phoenix was the most played deck in day 2. Is it the best deck in Modern right now? Why?
Easily. 1 mana, draw 2. 6 power flying, haste. While scrying for future turns & interacting with opponents. This is a common turn cycle.

Why did you play the deck you played this weekend?
It's the closest thing to faeries in Modern. Shout out to Nickolich, Purcell, Rosum and Aj Kerrigan for convincing me to play Hieroglyphic Illumination

Izzet Phoenix was the most played deck in day 2. Is it the best deck in Modern right now? Why?
Not while you can cast both Ancient Stirrings and Mox Opal
