Day 2 Metagame Breakdown
All teams with 19 points made Day 2, meaning 28 teams would return to battle for a shot at the Top 8 of the Team Constructed Open at #SCGDFW. Standard has started to even out, but Goblin+Chainwhirler decks still lead the field as four copies of R/B Aggro and Mono-Red Aggro top the field along with Esper Control. Bant Nexus and B/W Midrange, two decks rising in popularity after the latest Pro Tour each have three copies on Day 2 as well.
Modern continues to be the most diverse field, with six copies of Humans and four copies of Storm being the only decks with more than two players each. B/R Hollow One and Hardened Scales Affinity each had two copies, leaving the rest of the Day-2 field as one-ofs. In Legacy, Grixis Delver takes the top spot with six pilots, one ahead of Death and Taxes at five. Sneak and Show has three copies, while U/B Shadow, the big deck coming out of the Pro Tour had just two players on the second day of competition.
