All players with 15 points made Day 2, meaning 127 players would return to battle for a shot at the Top 8 of the Season One Invitational. The split-format event showcased Modern and Standard with the first half of each day being four rounds of Modern followed by four rounds of Standard.
For Standard, Goblin+Chainwhirler decks made up almost half of the Day 2 field as Mono Red Aggro, R/B Aggro, and R/B Midrange totaled 60 of the 127 decks. Mono-Red Aggro took the top slot with 31 pilots, followed by R/B Aggro at 24 while R/B Midrange showed up much lower on the list with just five champions. Esper Control was the third most-played deck with 20 players adding Teferi%2C+Hero+of+Dominaria to a blue and black-based shell. B/U Midrange shows up next with 10 pilots, while U/W Control had five players deicing on ditching the black cards surrounding Teferi.
In Modern, Jeskai Control shot up in numbers and took the No. 1 spot with 22 copies. Humans and Affinity each had 11 pilots tied for second place, both decks that can have a tough time with the Jeskai matchup. Mardu Pyromancer took over the midrange deck of choice with nine players opting for fair Blood+Moon deck. From there, the format is still wide and deck specialists chose to sleeve up their preferred archetypes.
