Eldrazi Tron had good matchups in the current meta and recent top finishes, Also appeals to my play style of ramping into powerful threats. A teammate created the Temur Pummeler deck and was running the Fling combo very well with it, also tons of fun!

I thought Death and Taxes would be well positioned in Modern. Great vs. Shadow, strong vs. Tron and Affinity. I don't play Standard so I chose something powerful and linear. Only needed to know about a few cards that disrupt me, not the whole format.
