Day 2 Metagame Breakdown
All players with 18 points made Day 2, meaning 116 players would return to battle for a shot at the Top 8 of the Standard Open at #SCGATL. With the emergency banning of Felidar+Guardian it comes as no surprise that Mardu Vehicles took over the top spot, putting 28 copies into the second day of competition. B/G Delirium regained its following from early in the Aether Revolt meta, showing up as the second most popular deck on Day 2 with 14 pilots.
Control decks relying on Torrential+Gearhulk come in third and fourth with U/R Control at seven copies and Jeskai Control at six copies, showcasing Censor and Pull from Tomorrow from Amonkhet. G/W Tokens, using Gideon%2C+Ally+of+Zendikar and Nissa%2C+Voice+of+Zendikar, also had six copies. B/G Aggro had five pilots make Day 2, looking similar to the aggressive build of the deck championed by Ulamog%2C+the+Ceaseless+Hunger into play is still a viable strategy. A clump of decks clocked in with three copies, including: B/G Energy, G/R Energy, B/R Eldrazi, Sultai Delirium, G/R Monsters, Bant Aetherworks, Sultai Control, W/R Humans, and U/R Emerge.
Jund Monsters, Jund Delirium, and B/R Aggro each had two copies, all taking advantage of Glorybringer from Amonkhet. Rogue strategies at one copy included: B/W Zombies, Mono-Black Aggro, U/R Thermo-Alchemist, U/G Ramp, and Bant Control.
